Gabourey Sidibe Gets The C Word TV Series - Wednesday October 28, 2009Precious actress Gabourey Sidibe lined up for comedy The C WordHaving caused a commotion with her stirringly real role in Precious, young actress Gabourey Sidibe has been lined up for a role in new comedy show The C Word.
She would play a student in summer school in the pilot for Showtime - joining Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen actor John Benjamin Hickey and The Curious Case of Benjamin Button's Phyllis Somerville alongside the show's star Laura Linney. Linney plays an average suburban wife, mother and teacher called Cathy who is diagnosed with cancer but looks at the lighter side of life in the face of it. Hickey is lined up to play her brother and Somerville will serve as neighbour and friend to Cathy.
Let's hope Sidibe can lend some of her Precious comic talents to the already stellar line-up.
