In connection to the release of 21 Jump Street today we've decided to map Jonah Hill's road to success...

Writing-directing team Jay Duplass and Mark Duplass wanted us to think that their 2010 feature Cyrus was a comedy, but besides a few funny moments the film really came off as a romantic drama - a drama in which Hill played the villain. As the son of Marisa Tomei he tries to destroy her relationship with John C. Reilly because of jealousy. The critics' eyes were opened to a different Jonah - a Jonah that went beyond his comedic talent and played the role "potently funny and painfully real" according to Rolling Stone magazine. His next big dramatic role came as Brad Pitt's sidekick - portraying the Yale economics graduate with radical ideas about how to assess players' value who assists Pitt in reforming the team - in last year's sports drama Moneyball. Must of us probably know how this performance went down, but for those of you who don't - no critic's opinion is necessary as the 28 year old was nominated for the most prestigious award in the businesss, the Oscar (for Best Supporting Actor). This wasn't his first Oscar experience as he and Seth Rogen presented the award for Best Sound Editing and Mixing back in 2008, but being nominated certainly is his highest accomplishment to date, and proof as to his worth as an all-around talent!
