| | | Fantasy (2h 32min) Release date : 25/07/2008 | | | After defeating the Order of Shadows and thwarting the mob boss, Carmine Falcone, in 'Batman Begins', Bruce Wayne continues to fight crime in Gotham City. With Falcone gone, a new mafioso, Salvatore Maroni, has taken over the organised crime syndicates and it seems Batman's quest to wrestle Gotham free from the criminals will be never-ending. Luckily, the city's new District Attorney Harvey Dent's strong-arm stance against crime gives Wayne hope. Maybe his new ally will take over his battles, allowing him to settle down with the love of his life Rachel Dawes - the only person who knows his true identity. The arrival of a new criminal destroys Batman's plans of a quiet life. A twisted, sadistic sociopath, with a morbid fascination for the caped crusader, known only as the Joker, descends upon the city. With no conscience or pain threshold, this nightmarish nemesis wreaks havoc upon Gotham, while Dent, (the White Knight to Batman's Dark Knight) undergoes a horrific transformation into the schizophrenic Two Face. | | This movie is showing in 1 Cinema(s) . | | | Documentary (1h 49min) Release date : 05/05/2006 | | | Daniel Johnston is a manic-depressive genius singer/songwriter/artist, revealed in this portrait of madness, creativity and love.
As a reclusive teenager growing up in New Cumberland, VA, Johnston began showing signs of unusual artistic ability at an early age. He religiously recorded his thoughts and stories onto cassette tapes, directed intuitive Super- 8 films starring himself in multiple roles ala Peter Sellers, and created expressive comic book-style drawings and animation in the basement of his family's home. However, in the eyes of his fundamentalist Christian family, Daniel simply wasn't contributing to society in a useful or productive way. After running off on a moped and joining a carnival, he landed in Austin, Texas, broke and alone. It was there he began to hone his musical career, recording folk songs on a series of homemade, lo-fi cassettes, which Daniel handed out free to fans, friends and journalists in the early 80s. | This movie is showing in 1 Cinema(s) .
