becky95--x - on 18/01/2009 | i saw this film at the cinema, and i thought it was amazing! it was much better than batman begins, and there was never a boring moment. the music was really good, so were the amazing stunts. i thought heath ledger did a fantastic job as the joker, and he definately deserved an oscar. it is the best film i have seen in ages, and my ffavorite film at the moment.

| arshadkhan1971@yahoo.com - on 31/10/2008 | First of all, Dark Knight was gigantic step up from Batman Begins.
It was excellently well directed, produced, screenplay by Christopher Nolan and not only that, he was the movie soundtrack's executive producer, which showed how well he was organised.
The director showed the rest of the hollywood directors how to shoot their film, he shot it in Imax projection format, more expensive, but the movie to be shot in that format was exquisite and pure genius on his part.
After watching it on a IMAX screen, the sound quality was mind blowing and the scenes shot were totally out of this world. If you look at all the Batman movies, this is the first film shot in IMAX projection format, I thoroughly enjoyed the spectacular way it was presented on screen.
The storyline by director Nolan and how he personally presented to the audience was remarkable and deserves all the accolades.
The movie soundtracks in the movie were great and Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard, two well known music composers were spot on and delivered another excellent crafted music to the movie and the music was great to listen and admire.
The story had everything it required and not a single scene was poorly directed, it was great to see the entire movie without moving off one's seat to grab a meal or go to the mens room.
The joker played by the late Heath Ledger was superb and I personally liked two great scenes, one in the beginning, where another batman is personating the real one and the fake one says to the real one, "what's the difference between you and me?" and batman replies, "I'm not wearing a hockey mask."
The other scene was where the clinical psychologist played by Cillian Murphy where he stares at batman and says, "Not my diagnosis", it was great to see his role there and it fits in the movie in some aspect, because he escaped in the first movie.
I come to the last scene to top it up, the chase in the end was well crafted. Director Nolan's ending was immaculate

| filmdragon - on 13/09/2008 | Excellent film packed with action throughout. Heath Ledger plays a wonderful final role that will, most likely in my opinion, earn him a well deserved Oscar. My advice - catch this film on the big screen to feel the full impact. So grab your popcorn and settle back for a true 5 Star rater

| Vultureboy - on 05/09/2008 | An excellent film. Well worth seeing. Nice and Grim. If you have three hours to spare I would definately reccomend this film. Heath Ledger is phenomenal as the Joker an I am sure they will find no one as good as him to replace the Joker in the sequel.

| jjphill - on 09/08/2008 | excellent.......superb dark journey into the tightly held moral beliefs of good versus evil............how batman constantly crosses the line to serve his hero status ego,,,only for the joker to constantly move the film toward total anarchy,,,untill finaly batman chooses infamy to protect and save the image of an incortable, district atourney deluded by his own overwhelming personal loss. i found the screen play well timed , the photography incredible...helped with flowing music and very stark emotional acting performances ..all in all a real joy..a fantastic and remarkable sequel.....where can they go from here?............jjp

| meridianccooper - on 30/07/2008 | As good as you could want a film which has whipped up such hype. Simply brilliant.
|
| Emeric - on 18/08/2008 | There's no getting away from just how brilliant this film really is. Of course it's not without its problems - Christian Bale's Wayne may his moments but Batman himself is laughingly hoarse - faults that would have crashed a lesser film without hesitation. But the fact that these misjudgements don't matter only to the magnificence of Nolan and his team. Five stars to Gary Oldman and Heath Ledger for each delivering performances that avoid clichés and round out wonderful characterisations from material that usually comes across as two dimensional. Five stars also to the technical team: make-up and costumes, stunts and cinematography, not to mention the beautifully realised editing which magnifies each set piece into a magnificent hydra-headed wonder. Five stars to the producers and the studio for standing by the film's unconventionality. But finally five stars to Christopher Nolan, for tricking tens of millions of people into seeing a film that - if it had a hundred and fifty million dollars less spent on it - might have been relegated to the 'art-house'. He has set a high-watermark for Hollywood cinema in the 21st century, proving once and for all that challenging ideas and complex narratives can captivate a huge audience, an audience which may well be more intelligent than California's brightest often assume.
