Plot Synopsis

Prepare for more heavy metal mayhem as the evil shapeshifting robots known as the Decepticons return to Earth on a mission to take Sam Witwicky prisoner after he learns the truth about the ancient origins of the Transformers. Trivia

New character

The character of Arcee, a female Autobot, was planned to debut in the original movie but it was feared that the issue of robot gender would confuse the audience. The decision was made to hold the character back for the sequel to give viewers time to digest the notion.

Shooting schedule

The shooting title of Prime Directive was used to put nosy press and curious fans off the scent.

Injuries

Shia LaBeouf had to take some time off filming following a car crash in which he injured his hand. After recovering from that injury, he injured his eye near the end of filming and promptly received seven stitches.

New character

Hound, a new Autobot character who transforms into a military Jeep Wrangler, features in this film by special request from the US Army after concerns were raised that most of the military vehicles used in the first film transformed into the evil Decepticons.

Screenrush Barometer:

'If there ever was a movie where you knew what you were getting into before walking in the door this would be it. If you dug TRANSFORMERS - you will love this one even more. If you found it tedious - you won't be swayed. The army of Michael Bay haters out there will certainly have more ammo after this one, and fans won't care.'

In my opinion, it's a fantastic film, the character are touching and the robots are well done and fun. Although, the start is long to begin and a little boring but anyway the special effects are impressive. Robots turn into cars is definitely a good idea. It's a film to see. I'm waiting forward the sequel !
