    Synopsis & Details

    Taking place in the Salton Sea area of California, a symbol of the failure of the American dream, this documentary revolves around three protagonists: Benny Parrish, a young bipolar boy whose troubled soul creates both suffering and joy for his loving family. Ceejay Thompson, a black aspiring footballer who’s taken refuge in Salton Sea trying to avoid the faith of his cousin who was killed in an LA gang war. And Red, an ancient Salton Sea survivor who used to be an oil worker, that lives of whiskey and cigarettes and has an irrepressible love for life. Together the three individuals reposition this area has a baffled land of opportunity.
