Natalie Portman On For Two Malick Films

Deadline had the news this morning that the Oscar-winning actress Natalie Portman will be starring in two of Terrence Malick's upcoming features - Knight of Cups and Lawless. The Tree of Life director is not exactly known for his productivity, having only directed five films over forty years (quality over quantity though, right?), but it looks like he's suddenly decided to start making up for lost time. As usual, Malick is being very secretive with plot details, but we can tell you that Knight of Cups will also star Christian Bale, Cate Blanchett and Isabel Lucas. Bale and Blanchett will return for Lawless, and will also be joined by Ryan Gosling, Rooney Mara and Haley Bennett. While both films do share some cast members, they will apparently have different narratives, but we reckon they'll be linked in some way. Amidst all this though, Portman still has to find the time to make Thor 2 and Malick still has an as yet untitled feature in the works starring Ben Affleck and Rachel McAdams, as well as his documentary Voyage of Time. Busy busy busy.
