New Poster And Stills From Dredd [PHOTOS]

Now that Prometheus and The Avengers are but (great) memories, it's time for us and Warner Bros to start focusing on another very promising sci-fi feature/comic book adaptation, Pete Travis' Dredd. To this end, they've released a brand new poster as well as a couple of stills from the set that you can check out below. Providing we're all able to completely forget about the other absolutely dire adaptation of John Wagner's 2000AD comic starring Sylvester Stallone, it'd be okay to call Dredd the first real Judge Dredd film, and it does look like it could be a good'un. Karl Urban stars as the titular lawman who serves in the dystopian sprawl of Mega City One, where criminals rule the streets and the police have the right to act as judge, jury and executioner. The film pits Dredd alongside new recruit Anderson (Olivia Thirlby) as they fight for their lives in one of the city's most dangerous tower blocks to bring down mastermind Madeleine 'Ma-Ma' Madrigal (Lena Headey).
