The movie man behind one of our movies of the year, The Grey will pen and direct a new vampire-human love story based on the graphic novel by Tomm Coker and Daniel Freedman
Even though The Twilight Saga franchise based on Stephanie Meyer's young adult novels has come to an end, big screen love stories involving the mythical blood-sucking creatures are far from over. Most recently, Joe Carnahan, the director who set a pack of ferocious wolves on Liam Neeson in The Grey, has agreed to take on an adaption of Tomm Coker and Daniel Freedman's Undying Love, a graphic novel focusing on a former soldier’s desire to be with a female vampire. However, standing between the two is the vampire’s creator whose hoard of Hong Kong underworld guards will be a challenge to defeat. The touch of Chinese mysticism will therefore give this vampire-romance an edge over previous tales of the genre. With several other projects on Carnahan’s directorial plate including Stretch, a Death Wish Remake, and a pilot for A&E’s Those Who Kill, production deets on Undying Love is not yet known.
