The action star uses his Mission Impossible skills as a sky-patrolling drone repairman in the upcoming graphic novel based sci fi thriller
Only weeks before Tom Cruise's lawless Jack Reacher hits the cinemas, the first official trailer for his next thriller, Oblivion, has been released. Based off his own graphic novel of the same name, Joseph Kosinski directed the science fiction film while the team who brought us Rise of the Planet of the Apes are producing it. The post-apocalyptic adventure picks up half a century after an alien attack on Earth and it’s now the job of Jack Harper (Cruise) and his “clean-up” crew to roam the uninhabited planet in search of valuable resources for the new human civilization living elsewhere. Just weeks before finishing his drone mission, Harper wanders into restricted area and discovers an underground society lead by Morgan Freeman. Also starring Olga Kurylenko, Andrea Riseborough, Melissa Leo, Zoe Bell and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, the film comes out in the UK on April 12th. Check out the trailer above or over at Apple.
