Mad Men’s Season 6 Premiere Date Announced!

Show creator and writer Matthew Weiner has announced in an interview with Entertainment Weekly Don Draper’s grand return to America’s small screen. On Sunday, April 7^th at 9pm, season six of AMC's 1960-set drama Mad Men starring Jon Hamm will commence! And of course, the big shot Madison Avenue ad exec will be arriving in style in the form of a two-hour long premiere episode, a treat for devoted fans who have been waiting since last summer.  While wary not to reveal any major plot points, Weiner also discussed with EW his approach to the upcoming season. Most importantly, he emphasized a return to a more Don-centric method of story-telling, “A lot of last season was told from the outside of Don, seeing him try to act like the person who was in that relationship [with Megan]…and I can say that it is an internal story this season. It’s what I’m interested in this point.” So if you’re not already caught up on Don’s personal and professional adventures, you have a solid two and a half months to do so!
