Bored to Death Rises From The Dead!

The HBO series starring Jason Schwartzman, Zach Galifianakis and Ted Danson will be reincarnated in the form of a feature film

HBO’s Brooklyn-set neo noir series Bored To Death which (despite a large cult following) was cancelled after three seasons in 2011, will be returning to the small screen. But this time as a full length movie!  The comedy—created and written by Jonathan Ames—followed the misadventures of an uninspired author (Jason Schwartzman) who hoped to cure his crippling writer’s block by posing as a private detective. His zany best friends, played by Zach Galifianakis and Ted Danson, also joined in on the well-intentioned yet often misguided fun. Ames will once again be responsible for writing the script as well as executive producing, while all three stars have expressed enthusiasm for the HBO Films project. There’s no word yet, however, on a director or a release date. In the meantime, Schwartzman fans can see the star in his upcoming A Glimpse Inside The Mind of Charles Swan III which is set for a limited US release on February 8th.
